Why this one
Native IGF-1 gets captured by binding proteins almost immediately in culture. The Long R3 modifications reduce that affinity substantially, which is what makes extended-activity experiments possible at all.

Handling
Store sealed vials at 2–8°C for short-term use, or at −20°C for long-term storage, and protect from light. Reconstitute with the diluent your protocol specifies; bacteriostatic water is the common choice where a vial will be entered more than once.
Allow refrigerated material to reach room temperature before opening, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles once in solution.
